A visit to Sedona in the Fall is full of blue skies and moderate temperatures. After highs in the 90's for most of the summer, Sedona guests love the cool mornings and warm afternoons the area enjoys during the Fall. The average mid-day temperatures in October are in the high 60's to low 70's, and November the temperatures fall solidly in the upper 60's. Hot Air Balloon Ride
The best way to view the beautiful red rocks of the Sedona along with the variety of Fall colors is from the air. Slide Rock State Park
Fall is the perfect time of year to visit Slide Rock State Park. Located near Sedona, Slide Rock State Park’s beautiful apple orchards go through a wonderful transformation in the Fall as all the leaves start to change colors. Wildlife Park
Located just 30 miles South of Sedona, the Out of Africa Wildlife Park offers an African Savannah experience in the middle of Arizona. Sunset Crater Volcano
Located about an hour North of Sedona, the Sunset Crater Volcano shows the raw power of nature. Despite erupting around 1085, the cooled lava flows can still be found around the base of the volcano. While you aren’t able to hike to the volcano crater itself, you can hike the nearby O’Leary Peak which provides a beautiful view down into the volcano’s crater.
